This five-day ACL Analytics course addresses that gap by showing finance and internal audit professionals how to turn repeatable audit tests into monitored routines. Requirements and prerequisites

Participants should understand core financial processes such as procure-to-pay, payroll, general ledger posting, reconciliations, and basic internal controls. They should be comfortable working with rows, columns, filters, and formulas in Microsoft Excel, and able to interpret fields such as invoice number, vendor ID, posting date, amount, and approval status. Prior audit, finance, compliance, or data-analysis experience is expected at an intermediate level. No prior ACL Analytics programming experience is required; the course introduces the required commands and scripting conventions. Advanced SQL, statistics, Python, and database-administration knowledge are not required.

Training methodology

The course is delivered through focused instructor-led explanations, live ACL Analytics demonstrations, and daily hands-on labs using finance and audit datasets. Day 4: Automating ACL Analytics routines and reporting

Day 5: Implementing a continuous auditing programme

No prior ACL Analytics experience is required, but this is not a general introduction to auditing or finance. Participants should already understand transaction data, common financial controls, and the business purpose of audit testing.
