Course overview
Paper checklists, emailed inspection reports and disconnected corrective-action registers make it difficult to prove that workplace hazards were identified, assigned and closed. Safety professionals need more than the ability to complete a digital form: they need to design inspection programmes that produce reliable evidence, route findings to accountable owners, escalate serious risks and give managers a usable view of safety performance. This course addresses the practical challenge of configuring SafetyCulture iAuditor for consistent field inspections and defensible occupational health and safety audits.
Participants build and administer digital inspection templates, using sections, questions, response logic, scoring, mandatory fields, media capture and corrective actions. They learn to translate inspection requirements from risk assessments, safe work procedures and ISO 45001 controls into mobile-ready checklists; conduct inspections offline and online; assign and monitor actions; analyse recurring failures; and create reports and dashboards for supervisors and senior managers. The course also covers user permissions, template governance, evidence quality, audit trails and practical metrics for monitoring closure performance.
Instructor-led demonstrations are followed by guided configuration labs, realistic workplace scenarios and peer review of inspection designs. Participants work through a case involving a multi-site operational safety programme, from hazard-based checklist design to action escalation and management reporting. Each participant leaves with a configured SafetyCulture inspection template, an action workflow, a sample inspection report and a 90-day implementation plan that can be adapted for their own workplace.

Requirements and prerequisites
This is a foundation-to-intermediate course. Participants should understand basic workplace safety concepts such as hazards, controls, incident prevention, inspections and corrective actions, and should be comfortable using a web browser and smartphone or tablet applications. Experience with SafetyCulture iAuditor is helpful but not required; complete beginners will be guided through navigation, template building and mobile inspections from first principles. Participants do not need programming, data-analysis expertise or prior ISO 45001 auditor certification. Access to a SafetyCulture trial, training or organisational account is useful for follow-up practice, but is not required for classroom exercises.
Training methodology
The programme combines concise instructor demonstrations in SafetyCulture iAuditor with step-by-step configuration labs on supplied scenarios. Participants inspect a simulated work area, capture photographic evidence, raise actions and test how conditional questions behave on a mobile device. Small groups critique templates against risk controls and ISO 45001 expectations, then use Analytics outputs to brief a management audience on recurring findings. The final session is an implementation workshop in which each participant adapts the course artefacts to their own inspection process, users and reporting cadence.
