Enterprise risk teams need more than risk registers and periodic spreadsheets. They must consolidate exposures across credit, market, liquidity, operational and model risk; apply consistent risk definitions; run repeatable scenarios; and provide senior management with evidence that explains how individual risk events affect enterprise-wide appetite, capital and decision-making. SAS Risk Management provides the controlled environment to organise this work, but teams need practical capability to configure risk content, manage data inputs, execute calculations and interpret outputs reliably.

This five-day intermediate course teaches participants how to use SAS Risk Management to support enterprise risk analytics. Participants work with the SAS Risk Management object model, portfolio and organisational hierarchies, risk factors, scenario definitions, configurable workflows, calculation runs and reporting outputs. They learn to prepare and validate risk data, configure risk analysis processes, implement stress-testing and what-if scenarios, monitor risk measures against thresholds, and produce management-ready dashboards and reports. The course also examines how SAS Risk Management can support governance expectations associated with Basel III, IFRS 9 and internal risk appetite frameworks.

Instruction combines guided demonstrations with hands-on configuration in a SAS training environment. Requirements and prerequisites

Frequently asked questions

You should be comfortable working with structured data and enterprise software, and some exposure to SAS applications is helpful. Prior SAS programming is not required because the course focuses on configuring and operating SAS Risk Management rather than writing SAS code.

A training environment is normally provided for classroom and live-online delivery, including the required case-study data. Bring a laptop capable of accessing the live-online environment if attending remotely; your organisation does not need to install the software for the course.
