Course overview
Training administration determines whether learning events start on time, reach the intended people, meet policy obligations and produce usable records. Weak booking controls, incomplete attendance evidence, unclear supplier commitments and late changes create avoidable cost and damage trust in the learning function. The work is often distributed between HR, managers, instructors, finance and external providers, so administrators need disciplined processes rather than informal reminders and spreadsheets that nobody owns.
This course develops the practical systems required to plan, schedule, promote, administer and close training events. Participants work through training request handling, needs data, annual calendars, enrolment workflows, venue and supplier coordination, virtual delivery support, learning management system records, budget tracking, data protection, mandatory training evidence and evaluation reporting. They learn to use RACI matrices, change-control logs, service-level measures, training matrices and the Kirkpatrick Model to keep learning operations controlled and visible.
Teaching combines short instructor briefings with realistic cases from corporate, public-sector and regulated settings. Participants review booking failures, supplier changes, low attendance, incomplete compliance records and virtual delivery incidents, then apply structured templates to resolve them. They leave with a training administration operating pack containing reusable checklists, trackers, process maps and reporting formats that can be adapted for their own learning portfolio.
The course suits professionals responsible for coordinating instructor-led, virtual or blended learning programmes, especially where attendance, certification, spending and audit evidence matter.
