Participants learn to map a digital onboarding journey from application capture through verification, screening, risk scoring, approval and ongoing review. They practise analysing identity-document and liveness-verification results, resolving data mismatches, identifying beneficial owners, interpreting sanctions and PEP screening alerts, and applying a risk-based approach to customer due diligence. The course also covers case-management queues, service-level controls, audit trails, data-quality checks and the design of clear analyst decision narratives.
Delivery combines instructor-led briefings with realistic onboarding case files, platform-style workflow exercises and team calibration sessions. Requirements and prerequisites

Participants should be comfortable reading case records and using browser-based business systems or spreadsheets. Prior experience with a specific onboarding platform, coding, API configuration, biometric technology or data science is not required. A laptop is recommended for live exercises; sample cases and templates are provided.
Training methodology
The five-day programme uses short instructor-led sessions to establish regulatory and operational context, followed by guided work in simulated digital onboarding workflows. Participants review identity-verification outputs, resolve data mismatches, investigate screening alerts and complete risk-assessment templates from realistic case files. Small-group calibration exercises compare decisions against agreed policy criteria, exposing inconsistent interpretations before they become operational risk. Each day closes with a practical output, and the final day converts case findings into an individual action plan for improving queue handling, decision documentation or escalation controls at work.
