Course overview

Infor Nexus is most valuable when buyers, suppliers, forwarders and internal planning teams work from the same transaction data rather than reconciling emails, spreadsheets and conflicting ERP extracts. Yet many supply chain professionals use only the visibility screens, while purchase-order exceptions, supplier commitments, shipment milestones and inventory signals remain unmanaged. This course addresses that gap by showing participants how to operate and govern collaboration workflows across the Infor Nexus network, with clear ownership of data, exceptions and trading-partner actions.

Participants learn to configure and use core collaboration processes for supplier onboarding, purchase-order collaboration, acknowledgements, change management, shipment visibility and exception resolution. They work with document and event status, trading-partner scorecards, alert rules, workflow queues and operational dashboards. The course also examines how Infor Nexus exchanges information with ERP, transportation and partner systems through standards-based messages, enabling participants to diagnose common data-quality, timing and adoption issues before they disrupt supply or customer commitments.

Instructor-led demonstrations are followed by guided work in an Infor Nexus training environment. Participants complete scenario-based exercises involving a late supplier acknowledgement, a quantity change, an at-risk shipment and an exception escalation. They leave with a practical Infor Nexus collaboration operating plan: a mapped workflow, role-accountability matrix, KPI set, exception-handling rules and a 90-day improvement backlog that can be adapted for their own supplier network.

The course is designed for experienced procurement, supply chain, logistics and systems professionals who already understand transactional supply processes and need to improve execution through the Infor Nexus platform.

Requirements and prerequisites

Participants should have practical experience with procure-to-pay, order-to-delivery or logistics execution processes and be comfortable reading purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements, shipment milestones and inventory status. Familiarity with their organisation’s ERP system and basic supply chain KPIs is expected. Previous exposure to Infor Nexus is helpful but not essential; participants should, however, understand why trading partners exchange transactional data. No programming, database administration or EDI mapping experience is required. The course explains integration concepts and message structures from an operational and governance perspective rather than teaching technical development.

Training methodology

The five-day programme combines instructor-led platform walkthroughs with guided configuration and analysis exercises in an Infor Nexus training environment. Participants work through a connected case involving a buyer, supplier and logistics provider, progressing from partner onboarding and purchase-order acknowledgement to shipment events and exception resolution. Small-group workshops use transaction records, dashboards and escalation scenarios to test decisions. Each day closes with a practical output, and the final session converts these outputs into an implementation-ready collaboration operating plan for the participant’s organisation.
