Course overview
Enterprise ERP, CRM, ITSM, data-platform and cloud implementation projects fail less often because of technology than because scope, dependencies, ownership and adoption are managed poorly. Project managers must coordinate vendors, architects, business process owners, security teams, data specialists and operational support while controlling changes that can affect integrations, regulatory obligations, service continuity and go-live dates. This course addresses the practical management work required to move an enterprise system from approved business case through configuration, testing, deployment and stabilisation.
Participants learn to build an implementation charter, work breakdown structure, integrated master schedule and responsibility model for a multi-workstream technology programme. They apply requirements traceability, dependency mapping, critical-path scheduling, RAID management, change control, vendor governance, test-readiness assessment, cutover planning and hypercare coordination. The course also covers reporting methods that give sponsors reliable visibility of budget, milestone health, unresolved decisions, defect trends, data migration progress and organisational readiness.
Delivery combines instructor-led briefings with a running enterprise systems case involving a CRM replacement with integrations, data migration and phased deployment. Participants use Microsoft Project, Jira and ServiceNow examples to turn business objectives into controlled project artefacts. By the end of the week, each participant leaves with an implementation management pack containing a charter, WBS, schedule extract, RAID log, RACI, governance calendar, cutover runbook and first-90-days hypercare plan that can be adapted for an active project.
The course is suited to professionals who already understand project fundamentals and now need to lead or govern complex enterprise technology implementations with multiple suppliers, business units and operational constraints.

Requirements and prerequisites
Participants should have practical experience contributing to or managing IT projects and be comfortable with project concepts such as scope, milestones, stakeholders, risks, budgets and status reporting. Familiarity with an enterprise application environment—such as ERP, CRM, ITSM, HRIS or cloud platforms—is strongly beneficial, as is basic spreadsheet use. Participants should understand the difference between business requirements, technical requirements and test cases. Prior use of Microsoft Project, Jira or ServiceNow is helpful but not required; guided examples are provided. No coding, systems administration, formal PMP certification or prior enterprise implementation leadership experience is required.
Training methodology
The course uses short instructor-led modules followed by applied workshops based on a multi-vendor CRM implementation scenario. Participants create and review project artefacts in sequence: charter, WBS, schedule, dependency register, RAID log, test-readiness dashboard and cutover plan. Small groups conduct sponsor steering meetings, evaluate change requests and resolve a simulated migration and integration issue. Microsoft Project, Jira and ServiceNow examples show how delivery information is managed in common enterprise environments. The final session converts the case materials into an application plan for a participant’s own implementation or portfolio.
