Course overview

ERP and business-process changes fail when users receive generic communications, training arrives too late, or support content is disconnected from the SAP screen where work is performed. This course equips change and learning professionals to use SAP Enable Now as a practical change-enablement platform: identifying affected roles, turning process changes into targeted learning assets, and measuring whether people can perform new tasks in SAP S/4HANA or other SAP applications. It addresses the operational gap between a project’s go-live plan and sustained user adoption.

Participants learn how to translate a change-impact assessment into a role-based enablement strategy and a governed SAP Enable Now content plan. They work with SAP Enable Now Producer to create simulations, guided tours, documentation, knowledge checks and microlearning; use Manager to organise, publish and govern assets; and apply Web Assistant concepts to deliver contextual help in the flow of work. The course also covers stakeholder mapping, ADKAR-based adoption planning, communications sequencing, learning-path design, feedback loops and adoption measures.

Teaching combines instructor demonstrations in a SAP Enable Now environment with structured build exercises and a realistic SAP implementation case. Participants create an adoption blueprint for a selected process change, including audience segments, change messages, a content inventory, a role-based learning path, publication controls and measures for post-go-live reinforcement. They leave with this reusable blueprint, a sample set of SAP Enable Now assets and an application plan for their own programme.

The course is designed for professionals who already contribute to SAP projects, organisational change, business readiness or enterprise learning and now need to make digital adoption support more targeted, measurable and maintainable.

Course objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Assess role-level change impacts and convert them into SAP Enable Now enablement requirements
  • Map stakeholders using influence, impact and readiness criteria for an SAP change programme
  • Design an ADKAR-aligned adoption plan with communications, learning and reinforcement actions
  • Build SAP simulations, step-by-step documentation and knowledge checks in SAP Enable Now Producer
  • Create role-based learning paths and content structures in SAP Enable Now Manager
  • Configure contextual performance-support concepts using SAP Enable Now Web Assistant
  • Define content governance rules for ownership, review cycles, version control and publishing approvals
  • Produce an adoption measurement dashboard specification linking usage, proficiency, feedback and support data

Benefits of attending

Who should attend

  • SAP Change Managers — who must turn implementation impacts into credible adoption and reinforcement plans
  • Learning and Development Managers — who need to deliver role-based SAP learning at scale
  • SAP Project Managers — who are accountable for business readiness and go-live adoption risks
  • Business Process Owners — who must standardise new ways of working across affected teams
  • SAP Training Leads — who create and govern simulations, job aids and learning paths
  • Digital Adoption Specialists — who need to embed contextual guidance in SAP user workflows

Requirements and prerequisites

Participants should understand the basic purpose of an SAP implementation or business-process change and have experience working on a project, training initiative, operational readiness activity or change programme. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA navigation, SAP Fiori concepts, or the business processes being changed is useful because exercises use role-based process scenarios. Participants should also be comfortable using a web browser and creating simple learning or communication materials. Prior hands-on use of SAP Enable Now, instructional-design certification, programming, HTML, or SAP configuration expertise is not required.

Training methodology

The course uses instructor-led briefings to establish change-management decisions, followed by guided work in SAP Enable Now Producer and Manager. Participants analyse an SAP process-change case, map impacted roles, draft adoption actions and build selected simulations, documentation and knowledge checks. Small-group reviews test whether content, communications and support assets fit each audience’s working context. Each day ends with a practical output that feeds an end-of-course adoption blueprint, allowing participants to connect tool use to a real implementation, release or process-standardisation initiative.

Course outline

Day 1: Change impacts and digital adoption strategy

  • SAP Enable Now architecture and change-enablement use cases
  • Business readiness risks in SAP implementation and release projects
  • Role-based change-impact assessment methodology
  • Stakeholder mapping by influence, impact and readiness
  • ADKAR model applied to SAP process adoption
  • Audience segmentation for end users, managers and support teams

Frequently asked questions

No. The course starts with the purpose, structure and main components of SAP Enable Now before moving into guided authoring and publication exercises. Experience with SAP projects or SAP business processes is more valuable than prior tool experience.

For live online delivery, participants need a reliable computer, modern browser, audio capability and permission to access the training environment. A course sandbox is normally provided for exercises; you do not need to bring a personal SAP Enable Now licence.

The course is best suited to SAP change managers, training leads, project managers, process owners and digital adoption specialists supporting a rollout, release or process transformation. It is particularly useful when a team must move from slide-based training to task-specific performance support.

General change courses focus primarily on stakeholder engagement, sponsorship and communications. This course applies those methods directly to SAP Enable Now, with hands-on creation of simulations, job aids, learning paths, publishing controls and contextual-help plans.

You can use the role-impact matrix, content inventory, learning-path template and adoption measurement specification immediately in project planning. The final application plan is structured around a real process change, so participants can identify owners, assets, milestones and evidence needed after go-live.

You leave with an SAP change-enablement blueprint, including audience segments, stakeholder actions, a content plan, governance controls, measures and a 90-day roadmap. You also create sample SAP Enable Now assets that demonstrate simulation, documentation and knowledge-check techniques.
