Course overview
Supply chain teams are often measured on cost, service, inventory and supplier performance, yet use different definitions, disconnected reports and local improvement projects. The result is slow diagnosis: a late delivery may be treated as a transport issue when the root cause lies in planning, sourcing, order management or returns. This SCOR Model Supply Chain Performance Training Course gives participants a common process and performance language for analysing end-to-end supply chain capability, identifying priority gaps and linking operational measures to business outcomes.
Over five days, participants work with the SCOR Digital Standard process framework, including the Orchestrate, Plan, Order, Source, Transform, Fulfil and Return process categories. They learn to map current-state supply chain flows, define Level 1 performance attributes, select balanced KPIs, distinguish leading from lagging measures, benchmark performance and trace metric exceptions to process causes. The course also covers SCOR practices, maturity assessment, metric hierarchies, supplier and customer interfaces, and the use of dashboards to govern improvement.
Instruction combines facilitated teaching with a running supply chain case involving demand volatility, supplier constraints, inventory pressure and declining delivery reliability. Participants build a SCOR-aligned process map, KPI dictionary, performance scorecard and prioritised improvement roadmap for their own organisation or a supplied case. They leave with a practical SCOR performance assessment pack that can be adapted for a procurement, planning, manufacturing, warehousing or distribution environment.
The course is suited to professionals who contribute to supply chain design, performance management or continuous improvement and need a structured alternative to isolated KPI reporting. Requirements and prerequisites
Participants should understand the basic flow of materials, information and orders from supplier through customer, and be comfortable discussing inventory, lead time, service level, purchasing, production or logistics measures. Experience in one supply chain function, such as procurement, planning, warehousing, manufacturing or transport, is helpful but not mandatory. Participants should be able to use Microsoft Excel for simple tables and calculations. Prior SCOR training, formal Lean certification, ERP configuration knowledge and advanced statistics are not required. Complete beginners can attend, but should expect an intensive introduction to supply chain process and performance terminology.
Training methodology
The instructor introduces each SCOR concept through short, worked sessions before participants apply it to a running multi-tier supply chain case. Teams map process flows, calculate and challenge KPI results in Excel, identify metric-to-process relationships and compare alternative improvement actions. Facilitated discussions examine how SCOR measures translate across procurement, planning, manufacturing and logistics. Each day closes with a structured workshop output, culminating in an individual or team 90-day application plan using the participant's own operating context or the course case.

Day 1: SCOR foundations and supply chain process architecture
- Purpose and structure of the ASCM SCOR Digital Standard
- End-to-end supply chain operating model and process boundaries
- Orchestrate, Plan, Order, Source, Transform, Fulfil and Return categories
- SCOR process levels and process decomposition logic
- Material, information and cash-flow mapping conventions
- Customer-supplier interfaces and hand-off failure points
- Current-state process mapping for a selected value stream
Workshop: Participants create a Level 1 and Level 2 SCOR process map for the case supply chain and identify three critical cross-functional hand-offs.
Day 2: SCOR performance attributes and metric design
