Programme teams in development and humanitarian organisations often hold monitoring data across Excel trackers, beneficiary databases, partner reports and assessment files, yet struggle to turn it into timely management insight. Static donor reports can obscure missed targets, geographic gaps, disaggregated results and data-quality issues. This course addresses the practical need to build Tableau dashboards that allow programme managers, MEAL teams and partners to interrogate performance against indicator targets, review trends and act on credible evidence.

Participants learn how to structure programme-monitoring data for Tableau, connect and clean common M&E data sources, define calculated fields, and build interactive dashboards for results frameworks, logframes, output tracking and beneficiary reach. The course covers indicator disaggregation by sex, age, disability, location and implementing partner; target-versus-actual analysis; date-based reporting periods; filters; parameters; table calculations; maps; and dashboard actions. Instruction combines guided Tableau demonstrations with hands-on work using a realistic multi-sector programme dataset. Requirements and prerequisites
