Participants work through the core administration lifecycle: instance and database architecture, Oracle Net connectivity, tablespaces and datafiles, user and privilege management, undo and temporary space, and routine monitoring. The course then concentrates on Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN): configuring the recovery area, creating full and incremental backup strategies, validating backup integrity, cataloguing and reporting backups, and recovering from lost datafiles, control files and archived redo logs. Participants also use Data Pump for logical export and import, and apply practical diagnostic methods using alert logs, dynamic performance views and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Delivery combines instructor-led explanation with guided labs on Oracle Database 19c environments and realistic operational incidents. Exercises progress from building a managed database environment to diagnosing alerts, configuring recovery settings and restoring damaged database components. - User account creation, profiles and password controls
- Roles, system privileges and object privilege delegation

Day 3: RMAN backup configuration and validation
