Course overview
Enterprise transformation programmes often fail not because the target operating model is weak, but because senior leaders do not create aligned sponsorship, make trade-offs visible, or address resistance across functions. Leaders must translate strategic intent into decisions, behaviours and governance routines that people can act on. This course equips experienced managers and transformation leaders to lead complex change where priorities conflict, stakeholder power is distributed and adoption depends on credible leadership at every level.
Participants examine enterprise transformation through the connected disciplines of strategic alignment, change leadership, stakeholder mobilisation, operating-model implementation and benefits realisation. They learn to diagnose transformation readiness, build a stakeholder influence map, define a leadership coalition, use the Prosci ADKAR model to plan adoption, establish transformation governance, and communicate difficult decisions with consistency. The course also develops practical skills in leading through ambiguity, managing cross-functional conflict, using performance evidence, and holding leaders accountable for behavioural and business outcomes.
Delivery combines expert-led briefings with enterprise cases, leadership simulations, peer challenge sessions and applied workshops. Participants work on a transformation scenario or their own live initiative, using Miro, Microsoft Teams and Power BI-based evidence to test decisions and refine plans. Each participant leaves with an enterprise transformation leadership playbook containing a stakeholder strategy, sponsorship map, governance design, communications approach, resistance-response plan, leadership cadence and 90-day implementation plan.
The programme is best suited to leaders who already manage people, programmes or functions and now need to influence across organisational boundaries. It is particularly valuable where a business is introducing a new operating model, digital platform, merger integration, cost transformation, service redesign or culture-led change.
Course objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Diagnose enterprise transformation readiness using a structured assessment of strategic clarity, leadership capacity, stakeholder alignment and delivery risk
- Create a stakeholder influence map that identifies sponsors, blockers, change agents and engagement priorities
- Design a transformation governance model with decision rights, escalation routes, meeting cadences and accountability roles
- Apply the Prosci ADKAR model to define adoption actions for affected employee groups
- Build a leadership coalition charter that sets shared commitments, behavioural expectations and sponsor responsibilities
- Develop an evidence-led transformation dashboard using leading indicators, adoption measures and benefits metrics
- Facilitate cross-functional decision sessions that resolve competing priorities and document trade-offs
- Produce a 90-day enterprise transformation leadership playbook for a live or simulated change initiative
Benefits of attending
For you
- Gain a repeatable leadership framework for moving enterprise change from executive intent to sustained adoption
- Build credibility in senior forums by framing transformation choices through evidence, decision rights and measurable outcomes
- Strengthen the ability to influence peers and sponsors without relying on direct reporting authority

- Prepare for broader roles in transformation, portfolio leadership, business-unit management or enterprise change sponsorship
For your organisation
- Improves alignment between executive strategy, programme governance and frontline adoption activity
- Reduces transformation delays caused by unclear sponsorship, unresolved cross-functional decisions and stakeholder resistance
- Creates more consistent leadership messages and visible accountability across functions and business units
- Strengthens benefits realisation by linking adoption indicators and leadership actions to business measures
- Leaves the organisation with practical 90-day action plans that can be applied to active transformation initiatives
Target competencies
Who should attend
- Transformation Directors — who must align executive sponsors, workstreams and business-unit leaders around a common change agenda
- Senior Programme Managers — who need to move from delivery coordination to enterprise-level leadership and adoption management
- Business Unit Directors — who must translate enterprise transformation decisions into operational commitments for their functions
- Change Management Leads — who need stronger executive influence, sponsorship structures and governance design capability
- Digital Transformation Leaders — who lead technology-enabled change requiring business adoption beyond system deployment
- PMO and Portfolio Leaders — who must connect programme governance, benefits tracking and leadership accountability
Requirements and prerequisites
Participants should have experience leading a team, workstream, programme or significant cross-functional initiative. They should already understand basic project or programme concepts such as scope, milestones, risks, stakeholders, business cases and governance. Familiarity with organisational change concepts is useful, including sponsorship, communications and resistance, but prior certification in Prosci, Agile or project management is not required. Participants should be prepared to discuss a current or recent transformation challenge and work with simple dashboards or spreadsheet-based performance data. No coding, financial modelling, Power BI authoring expertise or formal psychology training is required.
Training methodology
The course is delivered through instructor-led working sessions built around an enterprise transformation case and participants’ own organisational challenges. Faculty introduce practical frameworks, then participants apply them in stakeholder-mapping workshops, sponsor conversations, governance-design exercises and decision simulations. Small groups test competing transformation options using evidence and role-based stakeholder perspectives. Power BI dashboard examples are used to interpret adoption and benefits signals rather than teach technical report building. The final day is an application lab in which each participant assembles, presents and receives structured feedback on a 90-day transformation leadership plan.
