Participants learn to segment SKUs using ABC-XYZ and velocity analysis, set service-level-driven safety stock and reorder parameters, model demand and lead-time variability, and establish practical min/max, reorder point, and replenishment policies. They examine inventory accuracy through root-cause analysis, design risk-based cycle-count programmes, and use slotting, cube utilisation, and travel-distance analysis to improve warehouse productivity without damaging stock accessibility. The programme also covers dashboard design, exception management, obsolete-stock controls, and governance for master-data and parameter changes.

Frequently asked questions

This is an intermediate-to-advanced course for people who already work with warehouse inventory, replenishment, planning, or stock control. You should understand basic inventory terms and be able to interpret operational data, but you do not need advanced mathematics or programming skills.

A laptop with spreadsheet software is strongly recommended for the calculation and data-analysis exercises. Access to your live WMS is not required; the course uses realistic datasets and templates, while system examples show how concepts apply in common WMS environments.

It is best suited to warehouse managers, inventory controllers, supply planners, distribution-centre leaders, and WMS analysts responsible for availability, accuracy, stock investment, or replenishment performance. It is not intended as a first introduction to warehousing or basic stock control.
