Course overview
Leadership teams often receive engagement, performance and development data but struggle to turn it into credible decisions. Managers may focus on a single favourable score, overlook demographic variation, or launch broad actions that do not address the drivers affecting retention, manager effectiveness or team performance. This course equips practitioners to use Culture Amp leadership analytics to identify priority issues, test assumptions and present evidence that senior leaders can act on.
Participants work through the Culture Amp reporting environment, from survey configuration choices that affect interpretation to dashboard analysis, demographic filtering, comment review and action planning. They learn to distinguish correlation from causation, assess response-rate and confidentiality constraints, identify meaningful score movements, segment findings responsibly and connect engagement signals to leadership-development interventions. The course also covers converting findings into manager-ready narratives, targeted development plans and measures for tracking whether actions have worked.
Instruction combines live demonstrations in a Culture Amp training environment with analysis labs, facilitated peer critique and leadership-case simulations. Participants use a realistic employee survey dataset to build a leadership analytics pack containing an executive summary, dashboard extracts, prioritised findings, a manager action plan and a measurement approach. They leave with reusable briefing templates and a documented analysis workflow that can be adapted to their organisation's survey cadence and leadership framework.
The course is designed for HR, people analytics and learning professionals who already work with workforce data and need to strengthen the quality, consistency and business value of leadership reporting. It is equally relevant to HR business partners who must challenge managers constructively while translating Culture Amp insights into practical leadership-development activity.
Course objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Configure a Culture Amp survey reporting view using appropriate demographic filters, minimum group sizes and confidentiality controls
- Interpret engagement and leadership-driver scores using favourable-response rates, benchmarks, distributions and score movement
- Segment survey results to identify meaningful differences across manager populations, functions, locations and tenure groups
- Analyse qualitative comments using coded themes while protecting employee anonymity and avoiding unsupported conclusions
- Prioritise leadership-development issues with a driver-impact matrix and an evidence-based decision rationale
- Create a manager action plan that links Culture Amp findings to specific leadership behaviours, owners and review dates
- Build an executive leadership analytics briefing with dashboard evidence, narrative insight and recommended interventions
- Define success measures and follow-up survey indicators for evaluating a leadership-development intervention
Benefits of attending
For you

- Build credibility with senior stakeholders by explaining survey evidence, caveats and recommendations clearly
- Produce stronger manager conversations by linking employee feedback to observable leadership behaviours
- Develop the confidence to challenge misleading interpretations of engagement and demographic data
- Leave with an executive-ready analytics pack that demonstrates practical people-analytics capability
For your organisation

- Reduce privacy and reputational risk through responsible demographic analysis and comment handling
- Give managers clear, measurable actions instead of static engagement-report readouts

Target competencies
Who should attend
- People Analytics Managers — who must convert Culture Amp data into defensible leadership recommendations
- HR Business Partners — who advise leaders on engagement findings and manager-development priorities
- Learning and Development Managers — who need evidence to target leadership programmes and assess their impact
- Organisational Development Consultants — who diagnose leadership effectiveness across teams and functions
- Employee Experience Managers — who own listening strategies and need to turn survey insight into action
- HR Directors — who require a consistent method for reviewing leadership risk, capability and engagement data
Requirements and prerequisites
Participants should have practical experience using Culture Amp engagement or employee-feedback reports, or comparable workforce survey dashboards, and be comfortable reading percentages, response rates and demographic breakdowns. Familiarity with their organisation's leadership framework, survey cadence and data-privacy rules is helpful. They should be able to use a spreadsheet for simple filtering and chart review; advanced statistics, SQL, R, Python and Power BI development are not required. A Culture Amp administrator role is not essential because exercises use a training workspace, although participants with access to their own reporting environment will gain the most immediate workplace application.
Training methodology
The instructor demonstrates Culture Amp reporting workflows against a realistic employee-feedback dataset, then participants reproduce each method in guided labs. Short teaching segments cover survey validity, confidentiality, leadership drivers and interpretation limits before teams analyse dashboard cuts, coded comments and score trends. Case discussions require participants to defend priorities to a simulated executive group and respond to manager objections. Each day ends with a practical artefact, culminating in an individual leadership analytics pack and a 90-day application plan reviewed by peers and the instructor.
